Laredo Medical Center welcomed its first baby of 2026 when baby Rachel was born at 9:32 a.m. Wednesday.
The newborn weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce and measured 19 inches long, with his parents receiving a basket of goodies and a gift from the Auxiliary.
DEA's Fentanyl Free America campaign in Laredo significantly reduced fentanyl deaths from 73 in 2023 to 15 by early December 2025 + officials warn that ongoing education and enforcement are needed as traffickers shift tactics.
