The Relay for Life season kicked off yesterday at Bartlett Park as community members gathered to raise funds for cancer research.

Organizers say the event will feature activities over several days to support the cause.

Abrazo children showcased their colorful costumes in preparation for the upcoming International Bridge Ceremony held in Laredo, and organizers say the event will celebrate local culture and artistry.

Runners from across the region gathered at Bartlett Park on Saturday, Jan.

10 for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life kickoff event, celebrating the start of the 2026 season amid chilly weather. The event brought together cancer survivors and supporters ahead of the grand finale in late April.

Cirque Italia: Water Circus
