- ➤ Laredo Main Street announced that the 25th annual Jamboozie Music Festival will take place Saturday, March 21, from 5 p.m. to midnight at San Agustin Plaza, featuring international acts on the main stage and local artists on a second stage + tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Raul Perales Middle School hosted the KGNS+ 8th Graders of the Month ceremony Wednesday, honoring students from 24 Laredo middle schools for their academic and extracurricular achievements. The event was a collaboration with the Laredo Police Department and local sponsors. KGNS News
- ➤ LISD will host Read Across America Week from March 2–6 with dress-up days, book projects, and a special visit from author Kat Kronenberg (celebrating Dr. Seuss’s birthday) to spark a love for reading among local students. KGNS News
- ➤ The Laredo A&M Mothers’ Club is hosting its 9th annual scholarship golf tournament on Saturday, Feb. 28 at Casa Blanca Golf Course - breakfast runs at 7 a.m. and an 8 a.m. shotgun start will fund local Texas A&M scholarships. KGNS News
