  • LAPS is asking for donations to fill eggs, prizes, and baskets for its upcoming Easter event with drop-offs available from Wednesday, Mar. 18 to Sunday, Mar. 22 between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. — students who donate earn volunteer hours.  KGNS News
  • Laredo residents raised flood safety concerns at a city council meeting on March 16 about Rio Grande floating buoys — community members warned the buoys could worsen flooding near areas like El Azteca while a closed-session review of a new river study was held.  KGNS News
  • LAPS (Laredo Animal Protective Society) will host a 5K run today for runners, walkers, and pet owners to support rescues. Volunteer Richard Barraza provided details for the community event.  KGNS News
