ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A van lost control on Highway 14 in Nuevo León and fell into a deep ravine, killing 12 people+ including a family from Nuevo Laredo tied to Laredo while four others remain in critical condition. KGNS News
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A 39-year-old man, Jesus Guadalupe Covarrubias, pleaded guilty to using others to help buy several rifles illegally in 2021—he faces up to 10 years in federal prison and a fine while remaining in custody until his sentencing hearing. KGNS News
- ➤ 27-year-old Fernando Machado, accused of killing Frida Castillo in a deadly altercation on March 15 in the Cheyenne subdivision, was released from the hospital on March 20 after a SWAT team shot him—he now faces 11 counts of aggravated assault by public servant, four counts of deadly conduct with discharge firearm and one count of animal cruelty for allegedly killing the family dog while two of Castillo's family members are recovering in the hospital.
