  • Vidal M. Treviño Fine Arts Magnet High School (VMT) in Laredo is accepting applications for the 2026–2027 school year. The school offers programs in visual arts, music, theatre, dance and film that help students develop talents and earn college credits while competing regionally.  KGNS News

  • City of Laredo and Council Member Ruben Gutierrez, Jr. will host Laredo Mud Fiesta 2.0 on Saturday, Mar. 28 at Jovita Idar’s El Progreso Park (corner of Bartlett and Gale) at 8:00 a.m. Partnering with Awareness Warriors, the event promotes movement and community connection to fight depression.  LaredoBuzz
  • Laredo health officials held a community training session on Mar. 24 to mark World TB Day by teaching locals about tuberculosis prevention and care. The session shared steps for recognizing TB symptoms and accessing treatment (as recommended by health experts).  KGNS News
