Community members gathered outside Finley Elementary to honor two United ISD brothers, Eduardo and Emiliano Quintanilla, who died in a tragic car accident on a Mexican highway that claimed ten family members—classmates and relatives joined with candles, balloons, and prayers to pay tribute to their memory.
Over 350 runners from Laredo and Nuevo Laredo took part in the Binational Marathon last Sunday morning, a race that qualifies participants for the Boston Marathon.
The event began at Jarvis Plaza and ended at Palacio Federal — with a binational torch carried across International Bridge One to symbolize unity.
