BUSINESS NEWS

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Laredo ISD launched its 14th annual All-Star Kids Day today at Shirley Field for nearly 3,000 pre-K and kindergarten students as part of Week of the Young Child, featuring 13 fun stations (and a nod to dedicated teachers).  KGNS News
  • Students pleaded with the UISD board on Mar. 31 for a voice in school planning as the district continued its discussion on the future of schools; board officials said student feedback could help shape upcoming changes.  KGNS News
  • A free pilot program for students (ages 12 to 18) in Laredo will offer ground school training covering weather, aerodynamics, and safety, using airport facilities. A presentation on the program is set for the city council meeting on April 7.  KGNS News
  • Laredo College registration for Maymester and summer sessions began Monday, March 30, while fall registration will open Tuesday, April 7, at the Ft.
