The City of Laredo's Parks and Recreation Department is recruiting 50-56 lifeguards, pool supervisors, and office assistants for the summer at local pools (applicants require lifeguard and CPR certification).
Early hires can work special events in May (precertification often takes 7-9 days) before pools open on Memorial Day weekend.
City officials, TxDOT and law enforcement remind drivers today to stay alert in Laredo work zones during National Work Zone Awareness Week.
