- ➤ During National Library Week, officials at the Joe A. Guerra Public Library reported teen book checkouts increased by 49% and adult materials by 17% while overall visits exceeded 309,000, with new book clubs and digital resources boosting community use (including safe spaces for learning). GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The City of Laredo's Parks and Recreation Department is recruiting 50-56 lifeguards, pool supervisors, and office assistants for the summer at local pools (applicants require lifeguard and CPR certification).
