- ➤ The Laredo Economic Development Corporation invites locals to Economic Development Week from Monday, May 4 to Friday, May 8. - ➤ TAMIU, in partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Laredo, will launch Mission Antares 1, a five-day space-focused STEM experience on campus as part of a four-week summer program beginning June 22 that will offer hands-on learning for about 285 elementary students and 15 high school students. - ➤ Laredo police reported a rise in youth suicides yesterday and will work with local mental health agencies to review the trend, urging families to seek help when needed. KGNS News
- ➤ Laredo Medical Center hosted its fifth annual Fiesta de LMC at the Community Center today from 10 a.m. to noon to mark Stroke Awareness Month & offered free screenings, live dance performances & a proclamation recognizing stroke awareness with local leaders urging prompt action. KGNS News
