The City of Laredo will host a free Mother’s Day bingo night for local moms Wednesday, May 6 at 6 p.m. at the Cigarroa Recreation Center on Zacatecas Street.

Tickets (free but limited, available May 4) and prizes (for adults only) will be offered as Council Rangel hosts the event.

Laredo ISD and the Public Health Department are hosting immunization clinics for incoming seventh graders this week at four middle schools from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.—Monday at Christen Middle School, Tuesday at Memorial, Wednesday at Cigarroa, and Thursday at Lamar; parents are not needed with proper consent on file.

United ISD’s Guidance and Counseling Department will host a series of Mental Health Fairs starting tomorrow at LBJ High School on Cielito Lindo Boulevard, offering students and families mental health education and resources from 2:55 to 4:15 p.m. with additional events planned for May 12, 14 and 20.
