The City of Laredo thanked residents for voting in the 2025 Bond Election even though the proposals were not approved.

City officials will seek alternative funding and planning strategies to address needed improvements—such as infrastructure, public safety, and health investments.

Encinal elected Debra Weikel as its new mayor with 120 votes, beating incumbent Esmeralda Arce who got 42 votes - the city also chose five council members: Bobby Joe Garcia, Marisa Nieto, Gilberto 'Gil' Inocencio, Brianda Renteria and Gracie Roath.
