A family of five has been displaced after a mobile home fire on May 14 on the 2800 block of Lavanda Drive; firefighters quickly controlled the blaze (no injuries were reported) and the Red Cross is providing assistance as investigators determine the cause.

Laredo police warned high school graduates and parents on Friday, May 15 that underage drinking can lead to legal penalties.

They stressed making safe choices as graduation season nears.
