- ➤ Texas officials in Laredo are promoting a seat belt safety campaign that runs through the end of the month, using demonstrations and testimonies to stress the importance of buckling up and proper child restraints, with fines of up to $200 for violations and $250 + court costs for unbuckled children. - ➤ Webb County commissioners approved a 3.2-mile road improvement project in El Cenizo to fix potholes, cracks and flooded streets on Hernandez, Rodriguez, Morales, Valdez and Rosales streets. - ➤ The City of Laredo distributed bottled water on Monday, May 25, for residents affected by the precautionary boil water notice for the Jefferson Water Treatment Plant area while noting stable water system operations.
