LISD launches its summer program today with free classes and meals for K-12 students at local elementary, middle, and high schools.

Elementary classes run from 8 a.m. to noon until June 25, while middle and high schools offer options like STEAM and career courses.

Today until Aug. 9, children ages 6 to 17 ride El Metro buses free through the Kids on the Go program to reach summer camps, parks, libraries and pools; children under 12 must ride with an adult and show a valid ID (Parks and Recreation, library card or program ID).
