- ➤ On Thursday evening, a peaceful pro-immigration protest took place along San Bernardo Avenue in Laredo to support immigrant rights—organized by local social media personality Priscilla Villarreal. Protesters carried Mexican flags and signs to show their solidarity and to highlight the importance of immigrant contributions to the community. KGNS News

- ➤ On June 13th, two men were arrested in Laredo after a domestic argument led police to find a gun in an apartment. KGNS News
- ➤ The Webb County Sheriff’s Office released mugshots of five people accused of an armed robbery at a Rio Bravo business and confirmed that all suspects—aged 17 to 19 and armed with rifles and handguns—were arrested within 24 hours on Tuesday, June 11, each facing charges of aggravated robbery and organized criminal activity. - ➤ New flights between Monterrey and Laredo began on June 9 when the City and Laredo International Airport partnered with Aerus and Viva Aerobus—Viva Aerobus sold tickets while Aerus operated the planes, giving more travel options for work, family and fun. KGNS News
- ➤ Laredo City Council appointed Eduardo Davila as the first full-time Municipal Court Judge for position two following voter-approved charter changes and public interviews—his appointment will be finalized by the Attorney’s Office in the coming days. KGNS News
- ➤ County officials said roof repairs will begin Monday at Webb Co. Justice Center & contractors plan to work efficiently to prevent service disruptions. KGNS News
- ➤ The City of Laredo Utilities Department is investigating unusual taste and odor in drinking water affecting Mines Rd., Hwy 359 and Zapata Hwy — tests have shown the water is safe to drink and free of E. coli, and officials believe seasonal factors may be the cause. KGNS News
- ➤ Roof repairs will begin Monday, June 16 at the Dean Senator Judith Zaffirini Justice Center, county officials said. Stoddard General Contractors will repair the roof and building exterior with scaffolding and cranes from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and work is expected to finish by July or August 2026.
