- ➤ Laredo Animal Care Services is seeking foster families and adopters to help pets—like three-week-old Tabby who needs bottle feeding every 2 to 3 hours and was brought in without a mom. The shelter is open Monday through Saturday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.—visit 5202 Maher Avenue to help these animals find a home. KGNS News

- ➤ The Webb County Sheriff’s Office reported yesterday at 11 a.m. that five suspects linked to a June 11 armed robbery in Rio Bravo were caught within 24 hours—thanks to coordinated teamwork from multiple law enforcement units—and the investigation remains open. KGNS News
- ➤ Juan Felipe Flores Jr. was arrested last Wednesday, June 11 after leading state troopers on a high-speed chase along I-35 in Laredo that ended when his white Chevy SUV crashed under a bridge at Lafayette and Santa Ursula streets; he now faces charges of human smuggling and evading arrest while those he was transporting were turned over to Border Patrol. - ➤ Webb County Sheriff Martin Cuellar said community tips and teamwork led to swift arrests in an armed robbery at a game room in Rio Bravo on June 11, where operations in south Laredo detained four suspects and a fifth suspect (born April 9) remains at large with a $1,000 reward offered for information. - ➤ CBP officers seized over $1 million worth of meth on June 14 at the Juarez-Lincoln Bridge after referring a 56-year-old Mexican man for a secondary inspection at the Laredo Port of Entry—officers and a canine unit found eight packages weighing over 100 pounds inside his vehicle, the driver was arrested, and HSI continues its investigation.
