Laredo’s two hospitals remain focused on patient care and said they have not been contacted by state investigators after Gov. Abbott signed an order targeting birth tourism.
Both hospitals confirmed they do not offer special maternity packages for international patients (as noted in their statements).

Today, Texas DPS warns residents in Laredo to keep children from getting trapped in cars + to be careful in extreme heat as 12 child hot car deaths occurred nationwide and migrants face dangers from smugglers promising safe crossings.

LAPS is seeking families to adopt Aquata, a 4-month-old American Blue Heeler, at events at 10816 International Blvd on Friday, July 24 (4–7 p.m.), Saturday, July 25, and Sunday, July 26 (2–5 p.m.) + further adoptions are at 2500 Gonzalez St where owners are advised to keep pets cool.
