- ➤ DPS arrested a teenage driver on Monday, August 4 in connection with a suspected human smuggling case that led to a chase from north to south Laredo—authorities said the chase began near Mines Rd in a red Ford Fusion carrying four undocumented individuals and ended on Pinos Dr in South Laredo—while four individuals escaped in a second vehicle. - ➤ Laredo police are asking the public for help to identify a man wanted for theft in July near the 2600 block of North Arkansas Avenue — anyone with useful information could help secure a reward of up to $1,000. KGNS News
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Laredo College's Performing Arts and Communications Department is holding auditions for the musical 'Working'—directed by David McGinnis and based on Studs Terkel's 1974 book—that offers a local twist on everyday workers' stories. Auditions will be held on Aug. 12 at 7:30 p.m. at the Martinez Fine Arts Center, and the show will run on two weekends in November. KGNS News
