Laredo will hold the fifth annual memorial walk today at LBJ High School, starting at 8 a.m. to honor Marine Lance Corporal David Lee Espinoza, a local native who was killed protecting a mother & her children during the Kabul evacuation in Aug.
2021.
🎓 Education
LISD and United ISD earned an A rating on TEA’s latest report after a two-year pause.
Both scored 90 points with LISD posting a 98 financial review and UISD marking its seventh straight A rating.
🏛️ Government
On Aug. 14, the Laredo Fire Department held an informational session for prospective firefighters and paramedics at Fasken Recreation Center at 6 p.m., and it will hold additional sessions at 6 p.m. on Aug.
17, Aug. 18, and Aug. 19 at Cigarroa, Haynes, and Marcos Aranda Recreation Centers — respectively.
