- ➤ Today, Laredo Animal Care Services took custody of 29 dogs voluntarily surrendered by an outside animal welfare agency—12 on Tuesday, 13 on Wednesday, and 4 today. The team will provide shelter, food, and medical care to ensure the animals stay safe and healthy. LaredoBuzz

- ➤ On August 15—following a yearlong investigation that started when customs found over 200 liters of illegal alcohol at a border crossing—TABC agents with HSI and IRS officials executed a search warrant at a Laredo residence and seized $34,000 in illicit alcoholic beverages suspected to be smuggled from Mexico for wider distribution.
