Two US siblings, ages 6 and 7 (born in San Antonio), were found alone on Monday, Aug.
24 in Nuevo Laredo and reunited with their mother after officials cared for them in a foster home until their identities were confirmed.
Terra, a one-year-old Malinois mix, awaits adoption at Laredo Animal Care Services — the Clear the Shelter event exceeded its goal with over 30 adoptions.
Free adoptions were offered on National Dog Day yesterday, and the shelter will charge $8 for adoptions for the rest of the month.
Drivers stopped on the road to help a toddler who wandered from a local daycare, police said.
