- ➤ A waterline break on the 200 block of East Frost Street caused a sinkhole that forced neighborhood evacuations, swallowed a truck, and was fixed by repair crews on Saturday, September 20 — the city provided safe overnight accommodations for an affected family. KGNS News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ A utilities crew fixed a sinkhole in Central Laredo on September 21st—officials said the repair restored normal road conditions. KGNS News
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ LISD announced that free flu vaccines will be available at school clinics today for students in Laredo—this effort aims to reduce flu spread as the season begins. KGNS News
- ➤ The Laredo Independent School District is partnering with the city to offer free flu vaccines at clinics from Tuesday, September 23 to Thursday, September 25 at several campuses. Students will receive the vaccine at no cost provided they submit a parental consent form—clinics are set up at Heights, Ligarde, Daiches, Gallego, and Martin campuses. KGNS News
