  • Texas A&M International University marked National Transfer Week by hosting a free arts and crafts session at the STC Rotunda on Monday from noon to 2 p.m. — it later held a Trailblazer Info Session from 3 to 4 p.m. for transfer students.  KGNS News
  • TAMIU kicked off National Transfer Week yesterday with an arts and crafts event on campus that brought transfer students and local families together to learn about new opportunities. Organizers said additional creative workshops and information sessions will take place throughout the week — expanding the event’s reach.  KGNS News

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Laredo city leaders will share new details tonight about oil dumped into the sewer system as part of an ongoing environmental investigation. A judge granted a temporary restraining order against the business owner—officials say further updates will be provided at the city council meeting.  KGNS News

  • City officials announced that District 4 residents are offered a bulky item pickup service today—designed to help them remove large items safely from their homes.  KGNS News

HEALTH NEWS

  • Laredo Public Health launched the 'Walk Out Stress Out Walk' to help residents lower stress — the event promotes positive energy in Laredo. Officials say community members will join organized walks with tips for stress relief — additional details will be shared soon.  KGNS News
