- ➤ Texas A&M International University will host Shakespeare Mini Fest with live performances and a film screening—events include a performance of Shakespeare’s Greatest Hits on Nov. 10, Julius Caesar on Nov. 11, and a Romeo + Juliet screening with a lecture on Nov. 14, all free and open to the public. - ➤ Officials are grappling with delays and budget issues as restoration work continues at the Plaza Theatre—funds set aside nearly five years ago are still insufficient for a completed design and necessary repairs. Councilmembers have expressed concern about the prolonged timeline and raised ideas for a new civic center to better serve the community. KGNS News

- ➤ The Laredo Public Health Department partnered with TAMIU to host a free job fair that highlighted public health careers in mental and environmental health.
