The Outlet Shoppes will host its 9th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Friday, November 14 at 6 p.m. in Laredo—festive music, giveaways and a North Pole visitor arriving before 6:30 p.m. will kick off a magical holiday season with a guaranteed snowfall.

American Legion Post 59 is hosting the Veterans Day Parade today from 10 to 11 a.m. — the event will start at St. Peter’s the Apostle Catholic Church and end at San Agustin Plaza as local leaders deliver remarks while KGNS streams the celebration live.

The South Texas Food Bank is asking for donations of nonperishable food items and frozen fruit to help local residents waiting for their SNAP benefits amid delays.
