Azteca residents gathered at the commissioners court on Nov.

24 to oppose a border wall that could cut off access to the restored Las Palmas nature trail. The project manager warned that if the wall is built, residents may lose a key green space + community resource for their well-being.

Laredo’s annual Jr. Hands Across Texas Turkey Trot will start at 8 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning to support local nonprofits; organizers reported 915 runners have registered so far—expecting over 1,200 participants to help fund children and families in need.
