A local church in Laredo is set to host a Christmas celebration for the community this holiday season.

The 2025 Christmas Guide highlights festive events for Laredo residents today and all week, from a community celebration at Heritage Park (1301 International Blvd) with food trucks and live music to ornament painting, Santa photos, a tree lighting and Run Sant Run on Christmas Eve.
Blue Santa visited Laredo Animal Care Services today to highlight dogs waiting for foster homes, including Brook (a sweet pup awaiting a loving home) and two other puppies looking for care this holiday season.

The Mexican Cultural Institute will host its second annual gala on February 13 at Falcon Bank ballroom on McPherson Rd to raise funds for scholarship programs celebrating bi-national culture; the event will include dinner, a show, and performances by local artists while honoring Eduardo Garza (Unitrade).
🎓 Education
Local firm MCI announced a scholarship gala in Laredo to honor students and boost academic support.
