The Laredo community gathered at North Central Park (Sunday, Dec.
7, at 6:30 p.m.) to remember Brianna Aguilera, with Mayor Dr. Victor Trevino and local officials offering prayers and support for her family. The event highlighted the close bonds of the community.
Divine Mercy Park in District 6 held a ribbon cutting for its new pickleball courts, drawing praise from Mayor Victor Trevino and Council member Tyler King (a key project sponsor).
Parks and Recreation Director J.J. Gomez said courts will be planned at Bartlett Park to expand outdoor play areas.
Laredo’s Menudo Bowl celebrates 30 years and is accepting cook-off entries + vendor, nonprofit, and pop-up applications.
Gates open at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24 at the 1848 Event Center to support community safety.

The Laredo Theater Guild will open 'The Good Doctor' at the Shoebox Theater on Laredo College's Fort McIntosh campus (located two buildings down the main road) on Thursday, Dec.
11, with performances planned each weekend through Sunday, Dec. 21 featuring nine comedic vignettes adapted by Neil Simon.

United ISD has opened applications for its early college program for 8th graders, letting them earn dual credits at no cost (applications remain open through Jan.
21) in Laredo.
