- ➤ Divine Mercy Park in District 6 held a ribbon cutting for its new pickleball courts, drawing praise from Mayor Victor Trevino and Council member Tyler King (a key project sponsor). Parks and Recreation Director J.J. Gomez said courts will be planned at Bartlett Park to expand outdoor play areas. KGNS News

- ➤ The Laredo Theater Guild will open 'The Good Doctor' at the Shoebox Theater on Laredo College's Fort McIntosh campus (located two buildings down the main road) on Thursday, Dec. 11, with performances planned each weekend through Sunday, Dec. 21 featuring nine comedic vignettes adapted by Neil Simon.
