- ➤ The Laredo Convention and Visitors Bureau unveiled the Queretaro Showroom at the Visitor Center at 101 Salinas Ave in downtown Laredo to symbolize cultural unity with Queretaro and offer unique items. Officials say the showroom could serve as a destination for holiday shopping. KGNS News
- ➤ The Mexican Consulate will host a free piñata workshop for children today at its Laredo office (families are invited to learn traditional craft-making). KGNS News
- ➤ City officials unveiled a new Queretaro showroom at the visitor center Monday, Dec. 15 to offer residents and visitors interactive displays and insights into local cultural ties. KGNS News
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ LISD campuses and offices will close for holiday break from Dec. 22 to Jan. 9, returning Jan. 12. An early-dismissal on Dec. 19 will give students breakfast and lunch, while the tax office (904 Juarez Ave.) follows adjusted hours before and after the break. KGNS News
