Since Saturday, residents in Winfield have experienced multiple water main breaks; repairs at 3800 Winrock Dr. (taking 6-8 hours) and at Winfield and Bob Bullock Loop (taking 8-12 hours) are underway, but no homes are affected.

Paisano Caravan will return today to offer holiday travel to Mexico, giving local residents organized border crossings during the busy season.

Organizers expect the event to boost safe, convenient travel ahead of the holidays.

Thousands of travelers gathered Tuesday at Sames Auto Arena to prepare for the annual Paisano Caravan, which will start its coordinated border crossing into Mexico today at 4 a.m.; local drivers are advised to use Bridge One to avoid congestion on I-35.

From Dec. 19 to Dec. 31, Sames Auto Arena hosts 11 days of themed ice skating events in Laredo featuring line dancing, vendor markets, sports jersey discount days, Retro Rewind, Winter Rave and a New Year’s countdown—each session lasting 45 minutes with tickets sold in advance.
