- ➤ An 18-year-old in a black Kia Optima struck a man crossing the street at 3 a.m. on June 5 in south Laredo, leading to the man's death and prompting Laredo Police and TxDOT to urge drivers and pedestrians to use crosswalks and wear reflective clothing in dark conditions — a reminder to follow safety rules. - ➤ CBP officers intercepted nearly $5M worth of cocaine hidden in 149 packages in a 2013 trailer at the Colombia-Solidarity Bridge on Tuesday, June 3 — the seizure involved about 363 pounds of alleged cocaine and the case has been turned over to Homeland Security Investigations. KGNS News
- ➤ The Webb County Sheriff’s Office Livestock Division began investigating an animal cruelty case in La Moca subdivision near U.S. Hwy 83 yesterday after five cows were shot—two of which later died. KGNS News
