- ➤ Laredo Police are still looking for the suspect in a fatal shooting on the 100 block of West Clark Street on August 16—authorities say Victor Manuel Valadez is wanted in connection with the death of Roy Villarreal and ask anyone with information to call the police or Crime Stoppers. KGNS News
- ➤ Webb County Constable Pct. 1 deputies arrested three people during several traffic stops in Laredo; Javier Ochoa Beltran was charged with smuggling persons while Gregorio Tzoc Tulu and Alexis Rodriguez were arrested for driving while intoxicated. KGNS News

- ➤ Webb County Judge Tano Tijerina attended a multi-day conference in Austin from August 27 to August 29 at the Texas Association of Counties Legislative Conference—he joined discussions on how the 89th Texas Legislature affected local government and federal partnerships on border issues. - ➤ The Laredo Police Department urged residents to drive safely this Labor Day weekend by buckling up, avoiding drinking and driving, and following speed limits. Officers will increase patrols—ensuring more checks for impaired drivers. KGNS News
