- ➤ CaminArte returned to downtown Laredo yesterday—offering local artists and vendors a chance to showcase and sell work while featuring a screening of the Emma Doll documentary presented by the Laredo Paranormal Research Society and a talk by a featured artist. KGNS News
- ➤ Golden Heart Project is hosting a community fundraiser today at Golondrina Food Park & 11211 Golondrina Dr., where doors open at 9 a.m. & attendees can enjoy fresh meals, coffee & workout activities to support children battling cancer while funds raised benefit its mission. KGNS News

- ➤ A water line break was reported along Clark Blvd on November 7th — utility crews are working to repair the leak and residents have been advised to avoid the area. KGNS News
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The River Piece Foundation presents The Yes Men, a parody film event that raises awareness on social and political issues. The event will be held at Trevino-Uribe Rancho at 604 Trevino St, San Ygnacio, Tx, with a post-screening mixer from 6pm—9pm featuring food, drinks and music. KGNS News
- ➤ Texas A&M International University’s College of Arts and Sciences will host Shakespeare Mini Fest 2025—a three-day festival featuring new performance events and a film screening as well as a student-curated display on Shakespeare in the Southwest, which will be shown before the shows. The festival opens Monday, November 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the Fine and Performing Arts Theater. KGNS News
- ➤ Webb County’s Mercado Festival at 1848 Center began on Friday and will run through Sunday—featuring over 100 vendors selling goods from regions such as Zacatecas, Michoacán, Puebla, Tamaulipas, Nuevo León, and Coahuila with free admission and parking. KGNS News

- ➤ The Laredo Chamber Foundation is accepting applications from high school graduates and teachers for the School Bell Awards + Spirit of Laredo competition, with twelve winners to be honored at a dinner ceremony in April. Applications began on November 7 and will remain open through February as Killam Development hosts the competition. KGNS News

- ➤ The LC Lamar Bruni Vergara Environmental Center thanked LACS Director Lauren C. Bluestone for helping with the seizure of two spider monkeys by the U.S. Fish + Wildlife Service. The center reminded locals that owning primates without a federal permit is illegal. KGNS News

- ➤ Laredo International Airport acknowledged FAA and DOT flight capacity adjustments effective November 7 and confirmed that operations remained stable with minimal service disruption. The airport worked closely with airline and federal partners — its top priority is keeping travelers safe and on schedule. KGNS News
- ➤ Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum commended the new passenger train today during her media briefing in Mexico City — Governor Américo Anaya joined the groundbreaking ceremony in Nuevo Laredo, and officials say the rail line linking Saltillo with Nuevo Laredo will boost commerce and mobility. - ➤ Veterans in Laredo voiced disappointment on November 4 over the Lafayette Tiny Homes project after learning the affordable rental homes would not reserve units for those who served. The clinic runs Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. to noon—volunteers from Houston help provide the appointments. KGNS News
